Fees

Clear, published fees.

Legal help should not come with hidden costs or hourly surprises. Our fees are published openly so you can plan with confidence and choose the level of service that fits your matter.

Consultations are booked online and invoiced by email after you book. Hourly work is billed in 15-minute increments.

The schedule below is the one the firm will open with. No matters are accepted until the Legal Paraprofessional license issues, and every fee is confirmed in writing when the doors open.
A different way to work

Litigation is a tool we use when it is the right tool.

Entitled Family & Civil Law is built around a simple belief: that most family and civil matters are best resolved outside the courtroom, with skilled guidance, structured negotiation, and well-prepared documents.

Our fees reflect that philosophy. Flat-fee packages for mediation, negotiation and drafting give you cost certainty for the most common matters. Hourly representation is reserved for complex or contested cases where the path forward cannot be scoped in advance.

Many complex matters use a mix of the two: flat fees for the phases that can be defined, such as the initial filings or a negotiated settlement, and hourly billing at $250, in 15-minute increments, only for the contested pieces. The engagement letter states which parts are flat and which are hourly, so you know where the hourly exposure begins and ends.

Consultations

Every engagement begins with a paid consultation, booked on the calendar: dedicated working time to review your situation, give you a candid assessment, and outline the most effective path forward. Both sessions are credited toward your matter if you engage within 30 days. Looking for document preparation without representation? That is handled by our sister company, Entitled Document Services, with its own simple request process.

Initial strategy consultation

60 minutes. For matters within LP scope. Includes a candid legal assessment and strategy. Credited toward your retainer or flat-fee package if you engage Entitled Family & Civil Law within 30 days.

$275Per consultation

Standalone legal advice session

30 minutes. Focused guidance on a specific question within LP scope, without engaging full services. Credited toward your retainer or flat-fee package if you engage within 30 days.

Tier one

Mediation packages

A structured, out-of-court process to reach durable agreements with the support of a skilled neutral. Each package is comprehensive: mediation sessions, communication, document preparation, and follow-up. Parties commonly split the cost evenly.

Dissolution mediation, no children

Full mediation process for divorce without minor children, including final decree preparation.

$3,750$1,875 per party, split

Dissolution mediation, with children

Full mediation process for divorce with minor children, including parenting plan and child support worksheet.

$4,950$2,475 per party, split

Paternity mediation

Establishment of paternity, parenting plan, and support arrangement through mediation.

$3,000$1,500 per party, split

Post-decree modification mediation

Mediated modification of existing orders for support, parenting time, or legal decision-making.

$2,500$1,250 per party, split

In a mediation package the firm serves both parties as a neutral and does not represent either of them. The agreed documents are prepared at the parties' joint direction, and each party is encouraged to have them reviewed independently before signing.

Tier two

Negotiation and limited scope representation

When mediation is not viable, structured negotiation settles the disputed terms through direct communication with the other party or their counsel. Flat-fee, all-inclusive packages cover the negotiation, the agreement and decree, the filings, and follow-through, with Sammijo Johnson as your representative and not as a neutral.

Dissolution negotiation, no children

Limited scope representation for divorce without minor children, resolved through negotiation.

Tier three

Flat-fee document drafting

Court-ready documents drafted under Sammijo's Legal Paraprofessional credential as a limited scope legal service. Because this is legal work, advice about your documents is included: bring your questions and get straight answers while your paperwork gets done. Each engagement begins with a written limited scope agreement that defines exactly what is included. Court filing fees are separate and paid to the court.

These are signed documents, not ghostwriting. Every document the firm prepares carries Sammijo Johnson's name, the title Arizona Legal Paraprofessional, and her license number, as ACJA § 7-210 requires.

How engagement works

Written engagement letter required. All services are confirmed in writing through an engagement letter before any work begins. It details scope, fees, and responsibilities for both parties, and it states in writing that a Legal Paraprofessional is not a lawyer and may advise only within the licensed practice areas.
Court fees are separate.Arizona court filing fees, process server fees, and other third-party costs are set by the court or agency, paid by the client directly or reimbursed at cost, and are not part of professional fees. Preparing the papers for service, arranging the server, and tracking the return of service are included in the packages; a signed acceptance of service avoids the server's charge. See the current court fees.
Payment options.Cards, ACH bank transfer, and certified funds. Flat-fee packages are paid in full or in structured installments set out in the engagement letter. Payment links arrive with your engagement letter.
Trust accounting.Hourly engagements require a retainer held in the firm's trust account under Arizona Supreme Court Rule 43 and drawn against as services are billed. Flat fees and consultation fees are earned on the terms stated in the engagement letter.
Complex matters.Fees on this page reflect typical matters within each category. Cases with significant complexity, contested issues outside the standard scope, or extended timelines may need custom pricing, determined at consultation and reflected in the engagement letter. That pricing is often a mix of flat fees for the defined phases and hourly billing at $250, in 15-minute increments, for the contested work, so hourly exposure applies only where the work cannot be scoped.
Consultation fees.Invoiced by email after you book. The time is held once the invoice is paid, and the strategy consultation fee is credited toward your matter if you engage within 30 days. To move a consultation, reply to your confirmation email at least one business day ahead.
Signed documents.Every document the firm prepares carries Sammijo Johnson's name, the title Arizona Legal Paraprofessional, and her license number, as ACJA § 7-210 requires. When the firm appears for part of a case, the court receives the limited scope notice the family rules require.
Written Spanish.Written communication is available in Spanish. Consultations and court proceedings are conducted in English.
